Wade hasn’t been overturned; millions of unborn children continue to be murdered every day; people think we have a hard road ahead because there will be a lot to undo with Obama’s healthcare fiasco, not to mention the amazing load of taxation they are planning to force on us. Manning has the audacity to say in words that I’ve been thinking, but have been afraid to utter myself; that because people say Obama’s natural-born status doesn’t matter, then the Constitution doesn’t matter. That healthcare was forced on us – not because it is a government by the people and for the people; and that our votes don’t matter anymore.

Obama will be the ‘great leader’ FOREVER, if he feels like it, and there is nothing that will stop him.

The skies are filled with the brooding thickness of a stormy morning. Rain is pounding the steel roof of my office, blurring the image of the world through the window's glass pane. The vicious flooding on the streets brings with it a renewal of much needed life-nourishing water. The growth of indigenous weeds are rising alongside green blades of new grass through the soaked lawn out front that was browning from the thirst of a drought only days before. The Siberian Husky has retreated to the safety of her dog house, and the palm tree stands tall, dripping from the onslaught of a week's worth of much needed moisture.

With the needed rain comes a destructive force, as well. Hillsides stripped of ground-cover from last season's fires are sliding downward, pouring mud onto the neighborhoods below. Creeks are flooding over, and storm drains can't seem to eliminate the water fast enough from major intersections flooded with impatient traffic carrying bodies that are desperately trying to get to work. Trees have fallen, and automobile accidents have dotted the highways. But perhaps the most destructive part of the storms is the least explored consequence of all.

The skies are filled with the brooding thickness of a stormy morning. Rain is pounding the steel roof of my office, blurring the image of the world through the window’s glass pane. The vicious flooding on the streets brings with it a renewal of much needed life-nourishing water. The growth of indigenous weeds are rising alongside green blades of new grass through the soaked lawn out front that was browning from the thirst of a drought only days before. The Siberian Husky has retreated to the safety of her dog house, and the palm tree stands tall, dripping from the onslaught of a week’s worth of much needed moisture.

With the needed rain comes a destructive force, as well. Hillsides stripped of ground-cover from last season’s fires are sliding downward, pouring mud onto the neighborhoods below. Creeks are flooding over, and storm drains can’t seem to eliminate the water fast enough from major intersections flooded with impatient traffic carrying bodies that are desperately trying to get to work. Trees have fallen, and automobile accidents have dotted the highways. But perhaps the most destructive part of the storms is the least explored consequence of all.

Yes, California is in a drought, and the rains are much needed. But the struggling economy largely depends on the transportation of goods and new construction, one of which has been slowed and hindered, while the other has met an abrupt halt. Big rig trucks have slowed their pace to a near crawl, as well they should for safety’s sake. But hungry markets must wait longer for their goods, and in an economic downturn, such conditions could mean the difference between flourishing, and closing the doors forever. Construction sites have shut down completely, eliminating the movement of goods to those locations, and leaving at home a myriad of truck drivers that are in dire need of income.

Like all other storms, however, the foreboding onslaught we are now experiencing will eventually come to an end. The rains will cease, and will be followed by a new day. The sunshine will dry the glistening world, and the new growth will remind us of the promise of new beginnings, and the hope of new opportunities. An unforgiving wind may be blowing through my community at this moment, and the night may be turning cold, but when the storms end, and a lighter silky wind calms the storm battered environment, we will not only continue on, but we will perhaps be a little wiser having weathered the storms.

Developing. Appomattox is where General Robert E. Lee surrendered at the end the Civil War.

Several people were shot to death Tuesday near historic Appomattox, Va., according to state police, in what a spokesman for Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell called ” a horrific tragedy.”

Authorities did not release the number of dead, but in a move that indicated his view of the severity of the matter, McDonnell said he was sending his chief public safety official to the scene to join the head of the state police.

Authorities said they believed a suspect in the killings to be surrounded in a wooded area near where they apparently occurred. At one point during the incident, a shot apparently fired by the suspect, disabled a state police helicopter.

In an interview Tuesday night, an Appomattox County official said he understood that two people had been killed in a domestic dispute and that a third was also shot.

However, state police steadfastly declined for hours to specify the number of those slain. A spokesman said only that there were “several fatalities.”

It’s an opportunity to do things you couldn’t ordinarily do” – Rahm Emanuel.”

Not all people who are conservatives agree with common sense or calling things by their real names-as there has been a complete departure from reason in today’s political climate, but I’m seeing more and more people coming out and calling this out for the foolishness it is.  I talked about it previously, here.  Bravo to JR who writes at the American Journal, proceeding from the Rahm Emmanuel quote:

The Earthquake in Haiti has presented this administration with just such an opportunity. Already, Obama has pledged $100 million of our tax dollars to the Haitian recovery but the real cost is expected to reach into the billions. No more need to give to charities because you and your children already have contributed whether you intended to or not. We have private charities in this country because our Constitution does not allow for government to give away our tax money.

Where will the money come from?

Great question, JR!  Like a bunch of adolescents with blank checks, this is the height of irresponsible behavior, driven by FEELINGS; completely abandoning common sense…or the repurcussions down the road.  Like it or not, we don’t have and endless amount of cash on hand…we need to learn how to live within our means!

Will Congress pass legislation to draw it from the treasury? All they’ll find there is a truckload of IOUs. Will it be borrowed from China? Or will Obama donate the money from the remaining $630 billion still remaining in his $787 billion stimulus slush fund? Will the U.S. bare the vast majority of the cost, or will Obama partner with the U.N. to impose an international tax?

It must be nice to be Barack Obama. First the media makes him out to be the long awaited Messiah; then it’s, “Welcome to the White House President Obama. And oh, by the way, here is a $787 billion slush fund gift for you to use anyway you wish during your term in office. Just don‘t tell the people that the money will be spent on your special interest campaign contributors.”

Joe Biden announced today that the Haitian recovery effort will not end with the recovery operation but will be a long term effort to rebuild and sustain the country.

“Our message is simple,” Biden said during his stop in South Florida, which has the largest Haitian-American population in the U.S. “We are there to rescue. We are there to secure. We will be there to provide. We will rebuild, and we will sustain.”

Could this be a prelude to making Haiti America’s 51st state, and another welfare state for the Democrats? “[Haiti] will still be on our radar screen long after it’s off of CNN crawler,” said Biden. “This is personal,” Biden added, referring to White House political director Patrick Gaspard, a Haitian-American who still has family in Haiti.

Biden went on to say: “The Haitian people, they’re our friends, they’re our partners, our neighbors.” They’re are “partners?” Partners in what – poverty and illegal immigration? In what legitimate venture have Americans ever partnered with Haiti?

Partners in crime is more like it – Haiti is fraught with corruption and they are so behind-the-times that they only made rape a crime in 2005.

Read the rest at the American Journal.  Kudos to JR for a great piece.

Forbisher stated that the BROWN’s began to look for a plant in 2004 after Coakley stated that she would run for John Kerry’s seat if Kerry won he 2004 Presidential race. “We knew,” said Forbisher, “that anyone who honestly thought that Kerry had a chance to be elected could be convinced to run for Teddy Kennedy’s seat in the event that Kennedy should retire. Unfortunately, we had no idea that Kennedy would die of brain cancer, but Coakley was still our gal.”

Forbisher also acknowledged that members of the BROWNs began in early 2005 to send e-mails and letters to Coakley addressed to “Senator” M. Coakley hoping to cement the idea into her head. Forbisher told our operative also, that the a few SPROUTs even sent her emails stating that Curt Schillings was a Yankee’s fan. “I personally didn’t think that one would work,” said Forbisher, “nobody who is anybody in Boston, let alone in Massachusetts is stupid enough to believe that.”

Acknowledging that the BROWNs were initially worried that Coakley had such a large lead in the race, Forbisher and his crew felt that her tendency to shove her foot into her mouth would be the decisive issue. “Coakley scared us at first,” said Forbisher, “but we knew that the same person that defended the prosecution of the innocent Amirault family, even after it was obvious that they were unjustly accused and falsely convicted really couldn’t help but step on her…uh, well, step on her reputation.”

Forbisher stated that as of now, three days before the crucial election it really looks like “Coakley is toast.”

From the Left: Watch What They Do, Not What They Say~!

Funny…I was just reading a great article by Warner Todd Huston that was talking about how everything Obama says has an expiration date on it.

A few examples of his hypocrisy before he was “elected” are in my sidebar. One is his promise for transparency regarding forcing us all to adopt his socialized medicine scheme; another is how he destroyed the missile program…there are so many, it’s hard to keep track of them all.

A great example of doublespeak-is when first he himself and his minions referred to him as a Christian, despite the fact that he was on record for having gone to school in Indonesia, and on his school records was a “muslim”. In Islam, if your father is a muslim, you are a muslim; regardless. In fact, if you convert to Christianity later in life, you’re called an apostate and threatened with death; but that didn’t happen to our man with the three muslim names, either. Calling him a muslim was considered a “smear” and you weren’t allowed to speak his middle name; then once he became president, it was okay to call him by his three muslim names again.

At any rate, I see the same thing here – and leftists will deny that he signed the martial law executive order, you can see as much from loony leftists in the comment thread here.

One brilliant person in comments there sums it up:

Obama has granted the UN International Police Force; Interpol, full diplomatic immunity. In other words, foreign paramilitary police, are above the Law. Police cant stop them, search them, or arrest them, sounds like Interpol can wreak havoc on the people. FEMA coffins, FEMA concentration camps throughout the USA. A Federal Army (DHS) patrolling the streets (sheriffs assert your authority) all this for what? Oh yea the Terrorists, But wait! The Terrorists are the Tea Partiers, Vetrans, Gun Owners, and Patriots. So thats what the Patriot act was all about, to round up Patriots.
I suggest you all go to youtube and listen to the Audio book “Behold a Pale Horse.William Cooper 1991″ He predicted all this and more..

People are way too trusting of this usurper in the Oval Office…and the people who denied the things many of us have been worried about for a long time, will join the nation in being sorry for being so trusting of a man who doesn’t even have memories of America, and instead, has fond memories of Islamic Indonesia and the Arabic call to prayer, which he was quoted in the New York Times as saying -is the ’sweetest sound on earth’.

God help us…

Read the provisions of the Cap and Trade Bill that passed the House of Representatives and is now being considered by the Senate.

This Congress in tandem with whatever radicals that write this junk–together are out to destroy the middle class of the USA….

Home owners take note & tell your friends and relatives who are home owners!

Beginning 1 year after enactment of the Cap and Trade Act, you won’t be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this Act. H.R. 2454, the “Cap & Trade” bill passed by the House of Representatives, if also passed by the Senate, will be the largest tax increase any of us has ever experienced.

The Congressional Budget Office (supposedly non-partisan) estimates that in just a few years the average cost to every family of four will be $6,800 per year.
• No one is excluded.

Well of course. Unless possibly the elitists who are putting these things into effect; I wonder if, like health care and social security, they don’t qualify for these restrictions:

This awful bill (that no one in Congress has actually read) has many more surprises in it. Probably the worst one is this:

• A year from now you won’t be able to sell your house. Yes, you read that right.

The caveat is (there always is a caveat) that if you have enough money to make required major upgrades to your home, then you can sell it. But, if not, then forget it. Even pre-fabricated homes (“mobile homes”) are included.
• In effect, this bill prevents you from selling your home without the permission of the EPA administrator.
• To get this permission, you will have to have the energy efficiency of your home measured.
• Then the government will tell you what your new energy efficiency requirement is and you will be forced to make modifications to your home under the retrofit provisions of this Act to comply with the new energy and water efficiency requirements.
• Then you will have to get your home measured again and get a license (called a “label” in the Act) that must be posted on your property to show what your efficiency rating is; sort of like the Energy Star efficiency rating label on your refrigerator or air conditioner.
• If you don’t get a high enough rating, you can’t sell. And, the EPA administrator is authorized to raise the standards every year, even above the automatic energy efficiency increases built into the Act.

The EPA administrator, appointed by the President, will run the Cap & Trade program (AKA the “American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009″) and is authorized to make any future changes to the regulations and standards he alone determines to be in the government’s best interest. Requirements are set low initial y so the bill will pass Congress; then the Administrator can set much tougher new standards every year.
• The Act itself contains annual required increases in energy efficiency for private and commercial residences and buildings.
• However, the EPA administrator can set higher standards at any time.

WTF?

Special Warfare Operater 2nd Class Jonathan Keefe, Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Julio Huertas and Special Warfare Operator 2nd Class Matthew McCabe are accused of mistreating Ahmed Hashim Abed after arresting him and denying wrongdoing in later statements to commanders.

This is the infamous case of the Islamofascist mastermind of the 2004 murders of the Blackwater contractors in Fallujah. Their crime? Making a food delivery. Abed complained he was “punched” by these SEALs. In contrast, Abed’s crime was to mastermind the crimes of -setting those American contractors on fire, beating their bodies to splinters, dragging them behind vehicles, and then hanging them from that bridge over the Euphrates while frenzied crowds jumped around cheering for the media.

Abed was turned over to Iraqi authorities, to whom he made the abuse complaints. (Fox News) Oh, yeah, right out of the Al Qaeda playbook; complain about the treatment of your captors.

U.S. Military commanders, (who apparently suffer from the same “politically-correct” illness as the President of the United States) allege that SWO2 McCabe may have punched Abed after his arrest. The alleged “crime” of the other two SEALS is, apparently, that they didn’t rat out their fellow soldier. Abed may have also suffered a cut lip in the incident. Background on this story is here and here.

Sheesh-it’s not bad enough that there is a mosque next to Ground Zero, a mosque being built over the graves of the Flight 93 heroes in Pennsylvania, or that the 9/11 mastermind khalid Sheikh Mohammed was given his first wish and brought to Hew York and lawyered up; or that the Christmas underpants bomber was given that same ‘privilege’-we have our own military personnel charged by our own government with questionable crimes on the basis of lies from known terrorists…and can’t even confront their accuser in America. There is SO MUCH WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE.

Sadly, though, this scenario is a broken record while we have numerous military personnel at Leavenworth and in other prisons, charged with the same sort of ridiculous BS; instead of getting the medals and hero recognition they really deserve.

I was about to write a little while ago about Dick Durbin’s ridiculous call in the email that he sent out- to help out the brain-dead moonbat who is running for Ted Kennedy’s seat in Massachusetts. Durbin’s propaganda machine spewing out emails for the Pelosi crime syndicate in D.C. is fully engaged:

Dear XXXXXX,

Click Here to Contribute via ActBlue

Support Martha Coakley

The final health care reform vote is just a few weeks away. But next Tuesday, Massachusetts is holding a special election to fill the open seat left by the passing of my friend and colleague, Senator Ted Kennedy — and the results will be pivotal in determining whether we pass health care reform this year.

If Ted Kennedy was still with us in the Senate, I’m certain he’d proudly vote “aye” to pass the most progressive step towards universal coverage in four decades. And the Democrat running to fill his seat, Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley, has pledged she’d do the same.

But Martha is running neck-and-neck against a Republican, state senator Scott Brown, who would betray Ted Kennedy’s proud legacy of fighting for the uninsured.

We need Martha Coakley’s vote in the Senate to pass real health care reform this year — and to do that, we need to act now to make sure she has the resources she needs to hold on to Ted Kennedy’s seat in the Senate.

Well of course Kennedy would have voted “for” “universal” socialized medicine – he made trips to the soviet union, too, where he was romanced by communists – just like Joe Kennedy was an admirer and defender of Hitler. Dems need Coakley’s vote, and that’s the reason the voters need to take it away. Yes, even the libs in Masachussetts are “getting it”, DICK!

But then I noticed The Mary Hunter’s post at Moonbattery -Democrats in Sheer Panic over Teddy’s Seat, where it’s pointed out that

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has purchased advertising to help Martha Coakley.

Read that again.

NOT the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), but the campaign committee for the House of Representatives.

Yowsers. Get me some popcorn! Then this incredible email from MassResistance at about the same time; and now I’m sitting on the edge of my seat:

1. Scott Brown in dead heat with Martha Coakley for US Senate seat. Incredible statewide grassroots effort! Bipartisan (and independent!) support fueled by outrage at status quo.

2. Martha Coakley’s predictable reaction: (1) Get help from the media. (2) Sleazy attack ads. (3) Raise big money quickly from lobbyists.

3. How bad is she? Read Martha Coakley’s speech at 2007 homosexual bar association fundraiser.

4. Hundreds each day signing online petition to remove radical “Safe-Schools czar” Kevin Jennings. Total could pass 8,000 today!

1. Scott Brown in dead heat with Martha Coakley for US Senate seat. Incredible statewide grassroots effort! Bipartisan (and independent!) support fueled by outrage at status quo.

After last month’s primary elections for the US Senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy, Republican Scott Brown was trailing Democrat Martha Coakley by 30 points in the polls.

No one in the media – and we mean no one – gave him a chance. Even the national Republican Party gave up on Brown and decided to withhold significant financial help.

But they underestimated the outrage sweeping the nation, and even Massachusetts. Barack Obama and the out-of-control Congress have lit a fuse across the country that’s even reached ultra-blue Massachusetts. People are realizing that this election can change the course of America. Because of the US Senate’s makeup, Scott Brown is literally the difference between the radical Obama agenda — or any hope of a return to common sense.

By last week the Rasmussen Poll showed Brown down by just 9 points.

Now it’s a statistical dead heat.

Yesterday the Rasmussen poll gave Coakley a slim 2 point lead overall, with Brown leading among independents who are likely to vote by 71%-23%. Also this week the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling announced the race a dead heat with Brown up by one, 48% to 47%.

The Wall Street Journal also reported that the Public Policy Poll found that likely Bay State voters oppose the Democratic health plans by 47% to 41% and that they give Barack Obama only 44% job approval — after Obama carried this state by 26 points only 14 months ago. It also found Republicans much more motivated to vote than Democrats in this election.

Unprecedented grassroots effort and excitement becoming contagious

We haven’t seen anything quite like this in Massachusetts Republican politics. By far, this race has generated more grassroots energy than any a Republican campaign in memory. People are excited. They are volunteering, making calls, fundraising, holding signs, stuffing envelopes, anything they can do. Normally moribund Republican Town Committees across the state are calling their lists of voters. Even people who voted for Obama are repenting.

Around the country people are getting involved. On Tuesday a “money bomb” campaign raised over $1.3 million in just 24 hours. (We’ve been told that the average donation was around $77 – regular people, not like the big-money donations that Coakley rakes in.) And a lot of money from national conservative groups is picking up the slack from the Republican Party’s abandonment of Brown, buying pro-Brown ads in Massachusetts.

And Brown seems to be stepping up to the task. In recent emails we’ve reported that Brown’s campaign was boring an unimaginative. It’s gotten 100% better. It has real life. He is a very appealing candidate.

At the same time, the Coakley campaign is lackluster. Coakley has become what John McCain was – a Party’s flag-bearer but not someone that anybody could get excited about or warm up to. Callers on the local talk shows are ridiculing everything from her strange diction to her absenteeism during the campaign.

Our MassResistance blog reported an anecdote that others have also noticed:

On the Tom and Todd show Tuesday morning (WRKO AM680), Bill Hudak (Republican candidate for Mass. Sixth Congressional Dist., North Shore) called in with a great anecdote on the Brown-Coakley debate Monday night.

He said that the union guys were out in force outside the building with big 4′ x 8′ Coakley signs. As Scott Brown arrived at the building, he went over and greeted the guys. Hudak overheard them tell Brown, “We’re voting for you. We just got paid $50 to hold the signs.”

When Coakley arrived, in typical arrogant liberal style, she walked right by the guys holding her signs without a word of acknowledgement.

It’s a classic anecdote.

Left-wing Worcester Telegram endorses Brown!

On Sunday, the left-wing Worcester Telegram (owned by the Boston Globe and New York Times) officially endorsed Scott Brown! In a bit of refreshing common sense they articulated what a difference Brown could make in Washington by stopping the Democratic juggernaut:

“That lockstep mentality and one-party rule has not served the people of Massachusetts well on Beacon Hill, but led to a culture of corruption and arrogance. The same has been true on Capitol Hill, where, whether under President Bush or President Obama, large majorities for one party or the other have led to complacency, overspending, and a willingness to shutter debates and muffle the voice of the people.”

Read entire editorial here.

It’s an exciting time. We think the out-of-touch-with-reality liberal establishment is in for a big shock.

Not surprisingly, the only other really exciting Republican election in recent years was when Scott Brown beat Angus McQuilken for the state Senate seat on March 2, 2004 — also a special election. Sen. Cheryl Jacques, an activist lesbian, had resigned to run a national homosexual organization in Washington DC. McQuilken had been her chief of staff and had huge liberal support, and it looked like a slam dunk. But Republicans from around the state rallied to the cause and Brown won!

People forget that Ronald Reagan won twice in Massachusetts. It might happen again on Tuesday!

It’s no wonder they’re panic-stricken.
