The Wide Awakes were a theatrical group in the 1800’s which marched in torchlight parades across the country for Lincoln’s candidacy.

This website carries the Wide Awakes tradition of fighting for what is right and standing up to bullies.  We began as a group of 40 or so bloggers who write on our own websites, but also serve as a conservative backup force-to come and support conservative bloggers who were being harassed by leftists behind anonymous psuedonyms.  Together we continue to support the conservative cause, conservative values, and the founders’ vision of America; that all men are created equal with certain unalienable rights.  It is limited government which affords us our freedoms; and as we watch the fascist takeover of America – WE RESIST.
