Support For Obamacare Diminishing
The Senate is locked in a battle to get something passed in the way of the government takeover of heath care in this country. After buying off the political prostitute from Louisiana the Senate got underway but the process is slow and laborious as amendment after amendment is offered and debated. Democrats want this completed prior to going home for Christmas but that does not look like it will happen even with Harry Reid keeping them in session over the weekend.
Reid vows to keep them in session through all the weekends but this will not make Republicans cave. If anything, Republicans will dig in deeper and fight harder to defeat this albatross.
The process will likely stall by year’s end even though Barack Obama sped to the Hill to cheer on his little liberal buddies. Then the issue will drag on through next year, an election year, where more and more Democrats will grow weary of working on unpopular legislation as they try to get reelected.
The opposition to Obamacare in Nevada is greater than 50% with fewer than 40% in support of it. This is important because Harry Reid is from there and he is in danger of losing his seat. This lack of support for the health care takeover is a trend we are seeing across the country as more and more details of the 2000+ page monstrosity are revealed. Hopefully, the trends will take politicians down with the bill.
Obamacare will cover illegals despite Obama’s assurance that it will not. Democrats are now admitting that it will cost closer to the 2.5 trillion dollars than the target of under 900 billion dollars, and there is also no doubt that rationing will take place. Seniors will have cuts in Medicare and decisions about what care they receive will be based on cost, not quality health care.
Some Democrats are admitting that they do not like the legislation but they have to follow their party. Those who oppose have been told that no legislation they introduce will ever see the light of day if they do not blindly support the party.
The people of this country are tired of party over people mentality that permeates from all political offices. Politicians work hard to push issues that the party wants with little or no regard for what the people want. When this takes place we end up with things like the tea parties where regular folks demonstrate their displeasure.
I say we take it one step further and show our displeasure next November. Whether we have a health care bill by then or not we need to focus on throwing every incumbent on the ballot out of office. Republicans have been talking the talk recently but remember, they acted like Democrats when they were in power.
It seems the party out of power always finds its principles.
Get rid of all of them and throw DC into disarray. It is the only way to keep Barack Obama from continuing his radical socialist agenda.
The first step in keeping him in check is to defeat this health care debacle.
